Operationalizing Cloud Native with Kubernetes Virtual Summit Speaker Spotlight: Michelle Noorali, Jeff Martin, Gadi Naor and Mayur Shetty

The Operationalizing Cloud Native with Kubernetes Virtual Summit will bring together Kubernetes and cloud-native community members for a unique learning experience focused on the tools and best practices you need in order to successfully secure and manage Kubernetes. Presented in a virtual reality environment, the event will take place on Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. EDT.

The agenda for Operationalizing Cloud Native with Kubernetes Virtual Summit features a mix of topics, including cloud native and container security, container orchestration platforms and the future of cloud native. Michelle Noorali, Jeff Martin, Gadi Naor and Mayur Shetty are some of the brilliant speakers presenting at the virtual conference that will be covering such topics.

CNCF Technical Oversight Committee member Michelle Noorali will be giving a talk along with Matt Klein of Lyft and Aparna Sinha of Google about “The Future of Cloud Native” to answer a few significant questions: Will we see Kube become more operationalized? What about cloud native’s effect on the SDLM? And what can we expect from CI/CD. Michelle is senior software engineer at Microsoft and is passionate about the impact of open source software and end user experiences. She currently sits on the Kubernetes Steering Committee.

Jeff Martin has 15 years of experience helping organizations and customers transform and measure their business processes, development and QA. Jeff will teach the audience how to shift their minds to continuous security and how to build security in four steps. He will also discuss the main challenges organizations face when using containers.

Alcide Co-Founder and CTO Gadi Naor has 18 years of engineering experience on software development and cybersecurity. During his session “Cloud Native Security for Kubernetes in Practice,” Gadi will emphasize security practices that Kubernetes-based cloud-native application builders and operators can adopt for a secure day two Kubernetes.

For all of those who would like to learn more about Red Hat OpenShift, Mayur Shetty, senior solution architect at Red Hat, will be giving a presentation on the various Red Hat OpenShift consumption options available to customers on AWS and how adopting containers with OpenShift on AWS reduces the time spent managing, supporting and securing environments. Mayur is part of the OpenStack Tiger Team. Previously, he worked as senior solutions architect at Seagate Technology, driving solutions with the OpenStack Swift, Ceph and other Object Storage software.
