Container Camp London: The Golden Age of Containers

The container landscape is thriving; with over $500 million of VC investment in container-related companies to date and the recent announcement of the Open Container Initiative, there is no doubt that the golden age of containers is well underway.

The first conference to bring together the key players in this field in 2014, Container Camp returns from San Francisco to London to host another deep exploration of container technology at the iconic Barbican Center on September 11th. “We’re thrilled to be retuning to the birthplace of Container Camp to bring together people who are pushing boundaries and leading innovation in this area” said organiser Angie Maguire.

Joyent CTO Bryan Cantrill will offer an electric opening keynote followed by Rancher Co-Founder Shannon Williams, who’ll be introducing the Private Container Service. Other speakers include Docker security lead Diogo Monica, Google’s Mandy Waite and Sysdig CEO Loris Degioanni as well as local trailblazers Bryan Boreham of Weaveworks and Ben Hall of Scrapbook.

In partnership with Docker, Joyent, Cloud66, Sysdig, Red Hat, Rancher, Pivotal,  VMware and Cohesive Networks, the conference programme explores a range of subjects from operating systems and orchestration through to security, networking and management.

During the action packed day of technical talks and demos, delegates can sign up to a lightning lunch talk session and share their own experiences and solutions.

If that wasn’t enough excitement for one day, attendees might catch a glimpse of Benedict Cumberbatch who is currently performing Hamlet in the theatre next door. The conference will be followed by a jazz infused after party at the stunning Montcalm Hotel where attendees can relax, unwind and meet fellow container enthusiasts.

Container Camp will be held in Barbican Center in London on September 11th 2015. Tickets cost £249 plus VAT.
